That would mean State is going to be decent.

We are doing the Andy Kennedy OOC schedule, so that should help with the record.

If he manages to get to the NIT I will be pretty pleased. Good progress considering we only won 10 games last season.

OM will get an NIT invite.... Probably win 7 or 8 conference games .... I think State finishes in the bottom half of the league... 6-12 SEC record likely

I think we'll be middle of the pack this year.

I am hoping we get 7 wins in conference...but I am not really keeping up with what people are keeping/losing in basketball. We may be able to get 10 OOC wins since it's not too difficult. I would be fine with a 7 game improvement in year 2.

Hopefully the team stays healthy so we can get a better idea of what kind of coach we have.

Losing Brutus will have zero impact on this season.

Thanks for sharing ... I'd like to act as if I care but the truth be told, it's football season and I don't.

I hope it y'all works itself out by the time I do, and I hope Brutus heals quickly.

I agree. Brutus is arguably the worst player on our roster. Our season will depend on how good the two international freshmen end up being and if Cox and Jones can come back from injury. Hendo avoiding his typical shenanigans will help a lot too. Scary Hendo will be the leader of this team. NIT Bound.

That is the most ignorant post any Ole Miss fan could come up with. You didn't watch much basketball.

Terry Brutus gave us valuable minutes with the two big men off the floor. When no one else was hustling, Brutus was. He was at least a couple inches shorter than murph and reg but is twice as physical and will be a better rebounder.

I would almost say the Best thing that could happen to us was Buckner and Holloway graduating so our new guys can step in. Sure they will have their freshman moments but they can shoot free throws, rebound and hustle.

I like his effort and work ethic. Guarantee he and AJ won't wait until the last 5 games of their careers before turning it up a notch.

I never said anything about his hustle. I only questioned his talent. Name 3 players he is more talented than on our roster. Brutus played in 27 games and gave us 1.3 ppg and 1.7 rpg. He looked lost on the court all year. Constantly out of position. To say we are better without murph and buck is a little ignorant too don't you think?

Losing Brutus is really gonna hurt us. He was a physical player who will be sorely missed. We need his physical presence for defense and rebounding. I don't care about his scoring, we have guys who can score. We need defense and rebounding. And he could give us that. He also had the ability to hit a couple 10-12 footers and he was a MUCH better free throw shooter than the other.2 guys who started last year.

I disagree that we wont miss Murph. But screw Buckner. I mean really, as a big basketball fan, I was SOOO pissed at him the last 5 games. He played lights out and played great. Where the hell was that the previous 3¾ years? Buckner was a lazy POS and it showed. People talked about how great he was during the SEC and NCAA tourney and rightfully so but people who watched OM basketball before that knew he was lazy. He never went to workouts, never ran, never tried to improve his offensive game and never tried. He had draftable potential and wasted it. Screw him. I'm glad hes gone.

Its gonna be a tough year though. Marshall is the leader of our team? Haha that's a joke. We better hope our freshmen can come in and really contribute. Perez is nothing but a right handed Terrance Henry, he still looks to weigh about 180lbs, which tells me he hasn't done shite in the offseason either, Just like Terrance. I don't expect anything from him. I love Jarvis summers and snoop white. we're really gonna need snoop to step up and be a leader and scorer, which he can do but he disappeared some last year. We can't have that this year.

As for our Miss State friends, I really like Rick Ray. I think he did a great job last year and y'all will improve this year. Give him a couple years to stock pile some talent and lets see what he can do. I expect y'all yo go to the NIT this year for sure.

As I said, I'm a big OM bball fan and I'll tell you, I'm a much bigger Rick Ray fan than I am of Kennedy. I was a kennedy fan until about 2 years ago. Our team doesnt improve and we dont play basketball, we try to put athletes on the floor and just play streetball. That wins us 20 games a year but we'll never beat anybody worth a damn when it matters. Just sucks we won a tourney game because now we're stick with him for another 3-4 years.

Anybody.. Any fricking body that really believes Terry Brutus' injury is really going to impact this season knows shite about this team. I hate it for Terry, but he has been awful. He's a decent athlete, but he was constantly out of position and just lost. From what I have heard he had not improved any.

I'm not just huge on stats, but the guy averaged what 1.5 points and rebounds a game? And some cat thinks he is a better rebounder than murph or Buckner? I know ole miss fans don't know much about sports in general, but that's a fricking retarded statement.

We will win exactly the same amount of games without Brutus as we would with him.

That's a very fair analysis. I was joking about Hendo being the leader but also who will step up and lead this team? I'm probably being too hard on Brutus, but I was looking for the new freshmen to step in and contribute more so than a Brutus or a Perez. I love basketball, but sometimes it's hard to watch AK coached teams so I feel you on that.
