It always makes me smile to hear Texas is losing but it's kind of like an aspirin for a gunshot wound. I also find myself caring less this year than last and last year I cared less then the year before. I did get some pleasure out of OU stomping the crap out of Texas last year since it was so over the top.

It's good for A&M for Texas to struggle, right now A&M could probably flip just about any Texas commit it wanted to. I live in Austin as well so I'd rather hear them whine about their struggles than to try and rant about how David Ash is just as good as Johnny Manziel.

At some point we will play each other again but we are in no rush. There is just way too much money left on the table by that game not happening and Texas needs it to sell their season tickets now that their schedule is crap.

The truly amazing thing about living in Austin is that the radio station's commentators have to declare that they are actually employees of the LHN when an irate Longhorn calls in to complain that the LHNs constant coverage of the program has proven to be a distraction for the coaches and players and yet another a vehicle of the entitlement mentality that has infected the program and eroded their martial spirit. Shows you just how far and wide the bullshite is stacked when even the radio guys have the LHNs claws in them. Those coaches and kids just don't get valid evaluation as HS players, criticism as coaches/players, or reasonable expectations from anywhere. It's like la-la land until that first game and then its OMG, we suck? How in the frick? But everyone said we'd win a BCS bowl this year! But we're Texas! Our own TV station said we were awesome!
