The incident happened after 2 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of East Seventh and Trinity streets. A man was walking and having an argument with another man, who was a passenger in a 4-door silver vehicle. The passenger then left the vehicle and punched the man, who then fell to the ground and hit his head. The man was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with injuries that were considered possibly life threatening. The suspect returned to the car, which then left the scene.
