First time in a long time I have heard him take a beating like this on Carolina Calls.
Not sure it is completely justified - but obviously there are some unhappy fans.

Going from cheering after a loss to unhappy after 1 loss. I like this.

He wanted expectations raised ... mission accomplished.
He handled it well - handled it with class.

Did every caller finally quit asking Spurrier and Ellis how they're doing?

Honestly, they need to ask callers to stop doing that and just tell them up front at the beginning of the show that they are doing fine.
My Son and Grandson and I play an O/U game on how many fans will begin their question by asking, "how are you doing" when they are told to ask the question for the HBC. It's sort of become annoying - glad to see we are not the only ones.

The absolute only complaint I had with Spurrier last weekend was the 4th down call from the one. Other than that, I thought he called a great game. The offense was solid and in position to make plays all game long.
I agree, the expectations have definitely been raised around here. I just hope our fans don't get their panties in a wad too much and show up to WB Saturday night and be loud.

I hate people are giving him shite on this. He made what he thought was a quality hire and sometimes you get a flop. He deserves grace on a few flops before he's done in my opinion.

Who are you referring to as a flop?

Lorenzo I would assume
Or Deke perhaps?
Think about it.
Who was one of the two coaches that were fighting on the sidelines in Athens?
What position is under performing so far this season?
I dunno. Not enough time yet. Still ten games to go with plenty of time for improvement and big games.

I'm referring to Deke Adams as the floppee.

Hes had two games. Premature to call him a flop, especially with the dline class we have lined up for 2015.
Guy can obviously recruit at the very least

You still think its premature?

We had 4 sacks tonight, held Vandy to under 250ish yards and 2 of 12 on 3rd down.... so yes.

Agreed, to pre-mature. Our defense had 1 bad game, and 2 great games. We manhandled UNC on defense, and Vandy wouldn't have scored and TD's had it not been for our 3 turnovers (2 on Spec Teams.)
