Texas A&M stadium loudness

From the point of view of opposing fans who have attended games there, is it really loud?
How does it compare to some of the louder SEC stadiums (loudest I have been to are LSU and AU during the Tuberville years when Auburn's defense was sick). Is it loud enough to routinely cause problems for the opposing offense?

Quiet as frick. You'll sleep well in the empty rows while Bama takes a comfortable 8 touchdown lead in the first quarter.

I've been a number of times. Depends, but it is not louder than a few of the other SEC schools.

It's more of an English Premier League stadium if that makes any sense. They are big on singing and wrapping arms around another. Instead of screaming and yelling, they yip, whoop and other odd noises that normally emit from one's arse and not their mouth.

Quiet. The heat will also dampen the fans energy. Also... the fans are quite a bit away from the opposing team. One of the quieter stadiums I've heard opposing teams mention.

That's because it IS COMING FROM OUR ASSES.

I think it's realistic to put LSU, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee above A&M in terms noise level.

Don't forget Ole Miss, State, Vandy, Arky, and Kentucky....maybe Missouri too. I don't know. It's pretty fricking quiet.

As an honest response: The fans are very loud, but the stadium suffers from not being built to hold in sound. It's honestly probably louder in the stands than it is on the field.

I can only speak for when Mizzou has been there. It has been one of the quietest stadiums I have been to and that includes the OT thriller 2 years ago.

Pretty goddamn quiet. We don't really give a shite about football. We're more concerned about filling our jars up

You can hear a mouse fart at all times. Is almost Helen Keller quiet.
When the remodeling is done itll be alot better since we are going more bowl less tacklebox.

This. The new Kyle design will keep the noise in far better. Kyle is very loud but not as loud as some bowl stadiums. The coordinated Yells are one thing that make it unusual.
This is likely what you can expect:
A&M/Nebraska 2010
Loudest game I have ever been to at Kyle:

Gotta reckon giving all those tickets to students who don't care about football hurts their noise level.

Not loud, and the organized chanting is just cute really, not intimidating or anything that will affect play.
They're going to say "Beat the hell outta Bama" in unison a few dozen times. That's the pinnacle of the organized cheering. And only one part of the stadium does it, so again it's not very loud.
The awful smell of the stadium is the sensory nightmare you should be worried about. Imagine a skunk eats a shite sandwich for lunch, and then sprays arse water all over the stadium concourses and concession stands. That's about one tenth of how bad it is, plus it's going to be really hot so that will make the smell even worse.

The guy is asking a legitimate question and gets a bunch of responses about "no, its quiet" from aggie fans like they're going to fake somebody out.
Alabama players aren't going to roll into College Station and say "What the frick? The guys on SECr said this was a quite stadium. I can't hear a goddamned thing."
