Why are the highlights of him running unblocked and making a tackle/sack instead of eluding a block to make an amazing tackle/sack?
Great athlete, but please show me these before I buy in.

No one is asking you to buy in because it doesn't matter whether you do, or not.
What you might consider, if you are a good fan of college football, is simply this:
1 - Clowney makes it look easy.
2 - The expectations have been raised too high for Clowney.
3 - Clowney is the most held man in college football. For every single holding call he is given there are five or more than are not called, yet he still gets it done.
As fans who see him play in every game he does remarkable stuff. He takes on double and triple teams throughout games. He bull-rushes big SEC tackles and drives them backwards into RBs and QBs. We've seen him tackle two people at a time before, on more than a few occasions.
