I know some UGA folks have posted some helpful hints in the past (I think gatorhata has a pretty comprehensive list) but was just curious what everyone had in mind. When are you arriving? Where are you tailgating? If this is your first trip to town, how excited are you?

...Are UGA fans going to dump cups of warm urine or throw D size lead acid batteries and then not man up when confronted?

Kidding but not really kidding, I have tickets I'd like to sell but I may end up using them.

We can help yall plan, logistically, if any of yall need help on roads, parking, etc.

We are here if you need us.

I don't have tickets, I'll probably watch it on the big screen at the Georgia Theater.

Yeah I mean I started the thread in sincere hopes of giving good advice and helping but I guess nobody is interested.

I'm not going or else I would definitely appreciate the advise and recommendations.

Hopefully next time I'll be able to attend

After the game, yall can find me in the alley between The Globe and Georgia Bar on Clayton street, caddy-corner the pharmacy, raping a homeless woman, in either jubilation or pure anger. I hope it's jubilation.

I will be there. Staying at a friend's house on Lake Hartwell Friday night and driving into town Saturday morning. My friend's GF is in grad school at UGA and always parks at Founders Hall (believe that's what he called it). If that's a parking option, how early would we need to arrive in order to get a spot and what is that proximity to the stadium?

Fourth time coming for the game. Went in college in 2003 and in 2009 and 2011. Been to Athens plenty, though.

Getting in around 4 on Friday. Staying right downtown w/ family friends. Doing dinner there then headed to the bars... probably Nowhere, Last Resort, maybe have tickets to GA Theater.

Saturday morning doing tailgate at the house for breakfast, blood mary's, etc. Then to the bars. Then game. Then... VICTORY CELEBRATION.

Where are all the Gamecocks tailgating?

I haven't been to Athens at all in quite a while. A buddy of mine from HS went to UGA, and we traded road trips every season we were in school, but that was from '03-'06, so I never witnessed a USC victory and had to hang out with my drunk buddy talking shite. Vowed not to go to any more UGA/USC games (not cos of any issues, just hated seeing us lose), and since then we're 4-2 against UGA. So, I don't go anymore

Now that's being a fan, when you know you're the jinx and you keep away from your team. Very noble of you Royal.

As an extension, when I was in school I went to two USC/Clemson football games, three basketball games, and two baseball games - all home and away. We never won ONE of them. Haven't seen us play the Men of Paws since.

You're all welcome.

I've never heard of Founders Hall. Double check that and I can help you out a little more.

Okay... this is what I got from my buddy's girlfriend who is in grad school there. She said that she thought it was called Founders (she's not really sure), but its the lot at the corner of Baldwin and Lumpkin. Apparently they tailgated there last year, so we are shooting for that. She sent me a map, but I can't tell whats a parking lot or not from the street version. Know anything about that area? The last few times I went to UGA, we parked south of the stadium and walked up the massive hill it seemed.

I know where she's talking about. There's a mid sized parking lot where Baldwin dead ends into lumpkin. I've never tailgated over there myself but people set up in the grass by the street and it usually looks like it's pretty full. You are north (NW really) of the stadium, so you'll walk down hill to the game and up after.

I am the worst photoshopper ever but here's a map. The lot I think she's talking about is circled in the top left. Lumpkin is the main street going vertical and Baldwin is running horizontal and dead ends in front of that lot. The stadium is in the bottom right of the picture. Going into the game, assuming you're in a SC section, I would advise taking baldwin to the first light which is sanford, then hanging a right and walking down to the stadium. That'll give you the atmosphere of the bridge which is usually pretty awesome close to kickoff, plus the SC section will be the closest to you if you go that route. Or, you could walk straight down Lumpkin to the bottom of the hill which is where the dawgwalk takes place, if you're so inclined. I think it's like 1:45 before kickoff..since you'll be so close you could go then go back and tailgate. There's no scale on the map, but that lot and the stadium are very close together, as is the dawgwalk. You wouldn't have to walk more than 5 minutes at a leisurely pace to get to either.

Where you are parking this time is a choice spot.

The reason you walk up a massive hill no matter what is because the stadium is in a river valley of sorts. It's all downhill to the stadium, from either direction, and then steep uphill going back away from the stadium.

I usually hop in the back of someone's pickup and hitch hike up whichever direction I'm going. You being a cock fan, I don't recommend that.

Looks like he's parking next to the BCM. I tailgated there last year for the ole miss game and it is an absolute primo spot. Easy walk to the game and good shade from the trees.

Yes, near the BCM. I know that was mentioned, so I think we are on the same page now. How early should I arrive? I will be coming from the SC side of Lake Hartwell, and my GPS tells me its about 70 miles.
