I have no idea if he's in love with the University of Alabama or not. I doubt anyone but those closest to him do. Thing is, even if he considers the university his one special place in all the world, you'd never get him to say so in so many words. He's simply not a sentimentalist in that regard. He's a no-nonsense sort of person.

Frankly, if he stays another 10 years -- and that's honestly a very real possibility given that he's utterly devoted to his profession and he appears to be in excellent health for his age -- you should just judge him by his actions. Staying for 15 years and giving it your all should be enough to satisfy anybody.

Well worded. You would think though that he'd only GAIN from showing true care towards UA. Oh, and I don't think many Bama fans aren't totally satisfied.. as you said. :)

Keep winning, and you will be god here. But, there are a lot of old schoolers that -do- care about the true loyalty side of things. That's one reason we kept getting Bryant-ites as coaches. People with real UA connections and pedigrees.

Yeah, the good ol' boy network is how we ended up with DuBose, despite the fact that everyone else in the world knew he was a pitiful coaching candidate. That just went to prove how fricking stupid that mentality is.

I, for one, am glad that all those morons who think that pedigree outweighs merit are finally dying off.
