Neither did I. He was hands down the best back on the team. I expected him to finish his career out on mostly special teams.

Yeah, I was pretty off. I remember watching his HS film and just thinking "meh" and thinking Bama would be the worst place for him.

Kid is a hard worker, and has earned every good thing he gets.

Now I want him back at Bama.

I hate that gurley had yet to play with a grata defense. He' might be the best back we've had since 82. Him or Hearst.

Yeah, his whole recruitment was strange. He was always at AU games, granted it was right down the road, but I expected him to ultimately flip to AU. He definitely has put in the time and effort, sitting out a year and not complaining about running scout team O.

Ultimately, I think everything worked out as well as it could for him. UA is stacked at RB, and Grant just didn't fit the scheme. I'm just glad a local kid is able to make an impact. Hopefully you guys won't pull Rashaan Evans this year, no offense .
