I don't see it as lack of depth, they are deep, just with a lot of inexperience.

If Muschamp redshirts one or both of Lane and Taylor, then yes, UF will lack depth.

Let this be true.

The passing game has absolutely got to be better this year, because the backfield depth is an issue, and MG isn't around to carry the team this year.

I think it will be, and when Matt Jones returns, UF will have a decent rotation of RB's in the backfield, but it is critical that he gets healthy soon.

The pass rush will be better on defense but I worry about the run defense. We'll see how things progress.

Just read some argument on 247. Apparently the guys over there fully believe a walk on will be the best thing ever. Reason I don't post there anymore. Blind homerism is blind homerism.

Run D I'm not all that worried about though on the other point. We have good linebackers that can stop the run. Bullard and Easley can also play the run very well. I have no concerns on our defense, it should be top 5 this year without question. All the concerns are on offense...all of them lol.

Do you think Kelvin plays or redshirts this year?

I guess its possible that Kelvin could redshirt. Jones, Brown, and Herndon could probably handle the carries. Especially if MJ is durable when he gets back.

Last year Driskel and Gillislee handled 70% of the carries. So as long as MJ is as good or near as good as MG was last year, UF will be fine. But if MJ doesn't meet expectations, or if people are hurt, or if Herndon can't handle it, then Kelvin will be needed.

Showers isn't a running back. He's a flex player. Same with Burton.

I think Taylor will see the field as Jones's back up by the end of the year. Dude went beast mode on our defense during spring. He just needs to improve how he carries the ball(carries far to low) and his pass blocking. I think by mid season dude is going to be the back up. Red shirt him and then him and Cook are in the same position as well as Lane. With how Muschamps recruiting redshirting shouldn't even be a worry, because new backs will jump on board.

Jones
Brown
Cook
Taylor
lane

Next year's group...that is called straight up NASTY.
