I am going to be in New Orleans for the opening weekend and am looking for a good bar to watch the UGA game. Does anybody know any bars in New Orleans that UGA fans go to?

Just go down Bourbon street and find a bar that is having 4 or 5 for 1 beers during the day. There are numerous bars that will have football on and all have drink specials till about 6pm. I will be there also and will watch games on Bourbon all day but im going to the sports bar at Harrah's casino that night to watch LSU/TCU.

I'm trying to find a bar that will not be packed with LSU fans watching the LSU/TCU game. Does anybody know of any bars owned by UGA alumni?

In New Orleans? Negative.

ETA: But we appreciate all good football, almost ever bar with sports on TV will have that on at least one TV.

Yea, I can't even think of the last time I saw a local UGA fan here.
I would maybe look a Manning's, or some place with A LOT of TV's, since he will be going up against the LSU game.

My wife is uga alum. They have great watching parties. Uses to be hosted at Carrollton Station but its going to be at Reds on Maple st. (This is uptown really close to Tulane campus). Everybody brings some food, beer is cheap, bout 40-50 people show up and there is a large bulldog running around. That's where u wanna be.

You are walking into the belly of the beast if you go to walk-ons trying to avoid LSU fans.

I'm not trying to avoid LSU fans altogether, just looking for a place where I will be amongst other UGA fans. I'm sure most LSU fans won't be rooting for Clemson.

Do you have an address or cross street for Red's. I was planning on going to Cooter Browns early in the day, so I may already be in the neighborhood.
