Well I think that's one of the big issues in CFB. Costs aren't falling with the demand. Obviously South Carolina-Georgia is a big game, so this doesn't necessarily apply. But prices will still be too high for a game that doesn't sell 75% of tickets (like a cupcake game).

I don't know how the other schools work, but at UGA, you can't just buy 1 or 3 games. You make a minimum $500 donation (for cheap seats, higher donation for better seats) just to be entered into a lottery (unless you already have season tix, then you are guaranteed renewal) and if you get picked out of the lottery, then you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to pay face for the season.

So, the big shots that have the tickets only want to go to the big games, and refuse to sell their extras for cheap, because they calculate in their donation to what they paid for the ticket price.

They either give their tickets away to friends/family for the shitty games, or just don't go. They don't even bother with the hassle of stub hub. So yes, even the shitty games, expensive to get tickets at UGA.

I forgot what point I was trying to make. My jimmies are rustled.

ETA- I remember my point. There's no such thing as a "not sold out" game at UGA. They are always sold out by default.
