It's pretty good. Give it a shot with some smoked chicken.

In your experience, does the white sauce contribute to the brown gravy?

Do you know what chocolate gravy is? Have you tried it? Do you like it? Do people make this in S. Carolina?

Sorry bout your mama, I haven't had chocolate gravy since my grandma passed away several years ago. I need to learn to make it.

I've never seen heard of chocolate gravy anywhere other than Arkansas.

I've never seen either. I've never even heard of either outside of the last couple of months.

Most of the people in North Alabama have had it, not many make it anymore. Just old folks.
This should change.

Chocolate gravy has sugar, flour, butter, and Hershey's cocoa powder and either milk or water to thin it out. It's delicious on biscuits.

My grandmother introduced me to chocolate gravy and biscuits when I was pretty tiny. I live it. My mom knows how to make it and its really good but doesn't compare to my grandmothers.
She lived in NW Bama btw.
I need to get my mom to show me how to make it.
