Bo was not as bad as I was expecting. Certainly not great but Im not quite as nervous anymore. You can see the light come on after he makes his mistakes. He does seem to be learning from them.

The starters I am most worried about are Aaron Morris and Gross. On run plays, holy shite, get out of Aaron's way but his pass pro is not good at all, especially against quicker DT's like Issac, Woody and Carlton. Carlton looked very very good today. He is finally the player we thought he would be. I cant say enough how deep we are at DT even without Issac. Issac is just as quick as he's always been and he does beat guys, but when he doesnt get past them on his first step he is a liability. Just isnt strong enough to not get pushed backwards once someone gets in front of him.

I havent heard a single thing about Austin Douglas so far but he looked better than Swindol did today and it wasnt like Evan had a bad day. I dont understand why people arent pointing out how good he looks. Maybe today was his only good day. Our three offensive players that we cant lose are Bo, Donte, and Evan, but I kind of think we will be ok with Austin next year starting and this year backing up Evan.

Treadwell... holy frick he's good.

DT looks damn good with his hand down and I mean damn good. If he keeps progressing and CJ doesnt get more healthy, he could be our best pass rusher. Carlos wasnt out there so I couldnt compare him to DT

Tunsil is as good as everyone has said. I dont think Eman is any better but maybe he starts ahead of him just because of experience. To me Tunsil looks a little better

Channing doesnt look like he's learned one pass rushing move. He either tries to bull rush or run around. DT looked better than him today

Robert is as good as everyone has said

Denzel had fun today. Talked a lot of trash and backed it up

All of our two deep at LB's look better than anyone did last year. Such a good group. Keith looks like a RB, Marry is moving so much better, and Bird is everywhere the ball is.

Mireless doesnt look like he likes playing CB. Maybe its because he's a little lost but he has the least amount of moxie. Dehendret is full of moxie. I think he will be very solid for us as long as his guy doesnt get past him because he has zero speed. He sticks with WR better than anyone though and is physical. Standifer looked pretty good, not great but not bad. Burdette is an athletic freak. He honestly looks like Brassell did but not quite as rangy and what I mean is not quite as tall or long arms but looks so damn athletic. He may not be great this year, but he will be a very very good CB before he leaves.

Fadol Brown is so good. What a fricking steal.

Herb looks good and has a surprisingly good first step. His lower body is the biggest I've every seen on an athlete.

Good insight.

Side note: I just listened to Neal and Chase's podcast and chase answered a tweet of yours. I was wondering if you know him IRL. You always seem to have solid info. Anyway, I appreciate it.

If Bo gets hurt, he is our starter, not Brunetti. I think we will try our best to RS him but if the worst happens, he's our QB. Strongest arm on the team without a question. He is smaller than I thought, right at 6'0, maybe. Thicker than I thought though. He makes mistakes but not anymore than Bo does. I would say Bo and Devante have the same accuracy, but thats pretty hard to determine.

When they were doing HUNH live, Bo threw an interception and Freeze threw his clipboard and told Devante to get in there. 10 seconds later... Touch Down to Treadwell. It was pretty funny. Overall Bo and Devante looked even today throwing the ball but Bo looked better running the zone read stuff and was faster with the offense

Agree with your assessment of Kincade. He made a few throws today that were very freshman-esque but he seemed to do a good job of getting past them. He still tends to tuck it and scramble a little too quickly, but I think the coaches are doing a great job to bring him along.

eta: Hate to hear that Channing hasnt taken a big step. Really want him to blow up this year.

Our DL has the potential to be fricking disgusting.

I'd say the only player out of our class that I don't ever see contributing is Bledsoe. He can't catch and isn't physical. No idea what we do with him. Ray Ray is skinny as shite but doesn't look bad. He may not develop into anything but it appears he has a good frame to put on weight and he doesn't mind putting his nose in plays. A little early to tell on him. Davion doesn't look awful but certainly doesn't look good. He's still better than Hutson though

Those 3 seem to be the only players that didn't impress me out of the freshman and Bledsoe is the only one I don't see turning into a contributor. I thought this years class would be deeper than last but they are going to be some kind of good because '13 is special

Practice reports in previous days have praised him so maybe he had a bad day but he still looks like a raw athlete out there to me
