Seeing that artwork makes me miss SoCal! He was always good for going full jumbo!
Oh, and 8-4.

This August has been weird for me as the sentiment has basically been "Oh frick...Mizzou sports is starting soon and I still care what happens. frick."
I would enjoy this season a lot more if I could just detach and hope for 6 wins but be mindful of last year so not come apart if it doesn't happen.
But I care. I want more than that. I want to gain SEC respect, for the program to survive this transition. I want splashy home wins over Florida or SC or A&M. I want to go on the road and show Vandy and Ole Miss that one or two above-.500 years and a some good recruits doesn't put you ahead of us just yet. I want it. Bad.
And that's when Mizzou's got you in its vice. When you care and can't fool yourself into not caring. The old Lucy rips the football away from Charlie Brown routine I've been living with my whole life. Tyus Edney, Fifth Down, Bicycle Kick, Northern Iowa/Norfolk/insert-cinderella-team-here....I should be numb to it by now and able to detach and not care as much. But I still fricking care. A whole lot. I will have fun tailgating and hanging with friends at games no matter what, but at the end of the day that won't be enough. I want them to win and gain respect and I am gonna be crushed if it doesn't happen and there's no way I can fool myself into thinking otherwise. Which pisses me off cuz I know the routine. So my August has pretty much consisted each day of starting to look at football camp stories and saying "frick, Mizzou sports is starting again, and I still care. frick frick frick frick frick."

You guys were ravaged by injuries last season. This may actually help yall sneak up on a team or two and get a win that everyone else is predicting you to lose. If yall make it through fall practice with few injuries I will predict an 8+ win season.

We all hope this happens.
What do you realistically expect from Coach B this year?

Most are counting us out because of our JLS shitshow last year and thinking that all of our play makers have left. I realistically think that we go 8-4 + a bowl win. The homer in me thinks that we can go 10-2.
My predictions:
ULL - W
Samford - W
Southern Miss - W
Rutgers - W
TAMU - Toss up (Homer pick: W)
Florida - L
USCe - W
Alabama - L
Auburn - W
Ole Miss - W
Miss State - W
LSU - L (Homer pick: W)

TAMU with JFF = loss
TAMU without JFF = win
Let's be honest. That guy is a game changer on the field and the rest of his team feeds off his success.
Without him TAMU is a vulnerable team. He's like Samson. With hair = strong. Without hair = dead.

I'm so manic-depressive about this season. I keep going from 3-9, thinking MU will lose 1 OOC game and all SEC games to thinking 9-3 with only losses being @GA and 2 out of SC, UF and A&M. So I'll settle in the middle at 6-6.
Notsince...what do you have as the only 2 losses? SC and GA?

A big part of his success was that first round draft pick OL and that WR that went pro. I predict that they rely more on their 5* RB this season and Johnny doesn't have quite the season he had last year. All of the offseason crap will also play a part whether he plays or not as well. IMO...

Oh, and just so all yall know...
Next year I'm going to talk all kinds of trash about how we are going to destroy Mizzou when we play so don't get all rustled up, it's all in good fun...

To be honest, we're all patiently waiting for Mizzou to play Arkansas in football.
Do you realize how crazy the rant will be? The Mizzou/Arkansas game may shutdown the rant.
