Keep in mind also that aTm and the Manziels are represented by different attorneys, and their interests may actually be conflicting. After weighing everything they are aware of, it is entirely possible that the aTm attorneys may advise them that it's in their best interests to sit Manziel if the NCAA hasn't ruled yet.

In the big picture, protecting Manziel, his reputation, eligibility, future earnings potential is way down on aTm's priority list after protecting the university, avoiding sanctions, fines, scholarship losses, vacated wins, etc.

This! ATM will have a program after JFF is gone. Do they want one crippled by sanctions or do they want one that Is healthy and striving
