Is anyone here a TBS member? Is it worth it? I've been tempted to subscribe lately, especially with it being under the 247 umbrella now.

I'm not a member, but I don't think it's worth it especially when most of the members are on cockytalk giving summaries of what he said for FREE. JMO

I was a member one year. They give a pretty solid breakdown on opponents on a week to week basis. Cover all aspects of the game. Other than that there's not much to it.

I was a subscriber to both Rivals and Scout back before 24/7Sports really got going....I concluded on my own that it wasn't worth the money to me. Pretty much 90-99% of all recruiting information is information that will become public domain within 3 days of being first acquired. I have not nor likely ever will become so obsessed with recruiting info that I will want that info before that 3 day period is up. And like was posted above, most of all "insider" info finds it's way to public (free) viewing in one way or another even sooner than those 3 days.

I just chose to bookmark every online USC-specific and SEC-specific website I can find. And the more free-standing (not a part of Rivals/Scout/24/7Sports) the better. There's always posters on those boards that will relay what they read on the pay sites, so if I have some time a day to jump the free sites and see what's the latest news, I can usually learn enough to rival any subscription-owning user.

It just may be 1-3 days later, but like I said, I'm perfectly OK with that...

I am a member and for football alone it is not worth the money as every other site has most of the information....but for Basketball and especially Baseball coverage it is well worth the money (IMHO). I am a big baseball fan and Whittle covers it as much if not better than Morrell's football coverage.

You're right though, Turner would be pissed if he knew that his acronym was being used elsewhere.

Tend to agree with this 100%

If you grow up in a place chances are your sources will be better anyway.
