Bergdorf played QB for Bama. Replaced with Freddie Kitchens midway in the 3rd. Stallings had used Palmer at QB a lot that year already. When LSU went up 14-0 then Palmer played QB and was the reason Bama got back in the game
Please forgive me. I was 6 years old when that game was played.
