talking down his QB development or results as an NFL coordinator strikes me as ignorant, beyond the pale stupid, or just trolling.

Hey...I gave you the stats on Flacco and how he stacked up against other NFL QBs. YOU decide how much Cameron developed him.

As for Rivers....if a player is fully developed, a truly great QB, then he rarely "backslides" to that degree. Rivers has always thrown a lot of Interceptions. And please, please, PLEASE don't try to compare Rivers to Favre. They don't belong in the same breath. Do you HONESTLY believe Rivers is an elite QB? The scouts thought he would be when he was drafted out of college.

Whatever your contrarian columnist wrote about the Flacco and Cameron relationship is fine

Hey...the quote came from Baltimore Raven Insiders, not a columnist. You seriously want to go by what Harbaugh said publicly? When is the last time you have heard a head coach bad mouth a coordinator publicly after firing them?

Have you even LOOKED at Drew Brees statistics while he was with San Diego? He was an average QB AT BEST in SD. He didn't develop until he went to New Orleans. Look it up, then tell me Cameron developed Brees into the QB he is today.

I hope he works out for you guys, but you give him a WHOLE lot more credit for developing Drew Brees than he deserves, and if you are proud of his developing two other mediocre QBs, then have at it. Face it. He was hired at LSU because he was BFF with Miles.

you're just wrong here

Brees had a decent first year as a starter in 2002, backslid in 2003 (so the Chargers drafted Rivers) and then an outstanding "junior" 2004 season in which he finished with a 104.9 QB rating (the third highest of his career to date). I'm not sure this needs to be pointed out but apparently you disagree so I'll say it. The only concern with Brees coming out of San Diego was his health. He was absolutely viewed as a franchise QB if he was healthy.

I think you sell Rivers and Flacco short while ignoring the role Cam had with not only Brees but also Randle at Indiana and Frerotte in DC. But hey you're entitled to your opinion (however stupidly wrong it is ). Like I said before Cam might very well fail to excel at LSU if he doesn't transition back to the college level but he's a very very good NFL OC and is about as good as it gets when it comes to developing QBs (certainly better than a fan of a college program has any right to expect at their program).
