Technically, in those two particular instances he is talking about, if y'all had of beaten Bama you would have won a natty in 2011 and there is good reason to believe y'all could have won or at least played in it last year too

Beat us, and quite possibly play for the title in 2012.
The two would have gone hand in hand.
