No, it doesn't benefit us to play them anymore.

Not exactly.

Things keep going the direction they're heading now, they'll need the game more than we will and will have to content themselves with whatever space we decide to carve out for them.

We extended the proverbial olive branch already when we said we'd still play them after realignment, and Slive was prepared to accommodate the rivalry continuing OOC. That ship has sailed.
