I hate to hear it cause I was hoping he'd be able to contribute to the point that we could RS both Kincade and Buchanan... Apparently Kincade is tearing it up and has shown that he's ready to contribute in garbage time... Wouldn't surprise me to see switchblade get some snaps in the 4th quarter against SE Missouri State and Idaho.

Just saw that. Wish the best for him

I honestly can't believe we didn't use him as a running back, dude is big. Ran over people in the spring game.

Can't say that I'm surprised to be honest. He will be good wherever he goes. I really do think he's better than Brunetti. But like you said, I've heard Kincade is tearing it up right now.

Playing QB has more to do with dedication than it does talent. Miller is a more talented QB than Brunetti but him spending the summer playing baseball tells you how committed he was to the position.

If he would have developed enough this spring that we felt confident in him we would have used him like State used Dak last year, choo choo and all. PJ said pound for pound he is the strongest guy on the team.

I hate to hear this. If Bo goes down we are fricked.

If Bo goes down we're fricked anyway... Just like aTm if Manziel gets hurt... Or Bama if McCarron gets injured... Or Georgia if Murray..... You get the picture.

Yeah we were fricked either way but this certainly doesn't help. Like someone said I hope this means we will see more of Switchblade, I think he could be great

LSU's QB is rumored to have a very serious back injury so theres your example

Well that sucks I was really optimistic that we could of used him in another position.

Who is switchblade? Billybob thorton?
Posted on 7/23/13 at 8:45 pm to WithaRebelYell
Devante Kincade, one of our recruits from this past February. He won Trent Dilfer's elite 11 camp and TD gave him the name Switchblade because of his ability to slice up defenses

It's just our depth there that bothers me. Yes, I know that we'd be fricked either way if Bo were to go down but I honestly don't want to play DK this year unless we absolutely had to

I lol'd at this for some reason because in the mind of some State fans (including myself), we'd be better off if Russell tweaks an ankle. Fingers X.

Time for Devante Kincade to step up

So this pretty much confirms that DK won't redshirt?

The more I think about it, the less a problem I have with it. If he's as good as we think he's going to be, we will have had enough success over the next few years to hopefully open the gates to more and more elite QB prospects. DK just might be the beginning.
