My girlfriend is transferring into Ole Miss this coming fall semester to finish up her degree and had a place to live all lined up with a friend. Well this shot head friend of hers backed out and now she is scrambling to find a decent 1 bedroom apartment. Does anyone know of a good place to start looking in Oxford? I'm heading down there tomorrow to search for her (I'm much closer in Memphis than she is in Biloxi). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Campus creek is not bad.. Lived there for two years but she would be living with a couple people she won't know.. Other than that the Links, The Mark.. There are tons of apartments so just ride around and I'm sure u can find one

Turnberry is a good place too and it's 30 seconds from campus on Old Taylor Rd.

I rent from Larry Overstreet Properties, they have alot of 1BRs.
The only catch is that they dont allow pets in any of their units.

Yeah I had a single there for one year ... it had your kitchen, living room, single bath & two bedrooms(one of which opens to your back patio if you live on the first floor).
I want to say I paid $500-$600 can't remember but they are nice inside, and it also has a pool there at the place. It's usually older college students that are living there so you really don't have to worry about a lot of shenanigans.
It's kinda popular place so more than likely they're all rented but hey it's worth a shot.
P.S. when you are visiting it's right next to the golf course so that's a plus on your end.

Lived in a one bed room here at Lafayette Place for the past year and I've really enjoyed it. Payed about $850 a month but that includes all utilities and the apartment is furnished.

I don't recommend any apartment complexes. I've lived in campus creek for 2 years and Lafayette place and connection both 1 year. They all felt like big ripoffs to me. At least those three IMO

Yea I'm trying to stay away from the student apartment thing. They are usually a ripoff and I like knowing the landlord personally. I figure I'm gonna drive around a bit and call any for rent signs

The connection will give you like 1000 dollars to sign a lease there

Then charge you $400 for "clean up" when you move out

There are some for rent signs on Garfield Avenue just off of University for some condos

Don't suggest living at Taylor Bend. They have DJs all day at the pool and you can't concentrate.

She must be pretty to have that kind of distance between you. If you aren't transferring to Ole Miss as well, you better think about it.
