Also I think we can say Jonathan Wiggins is the answer to your thread asking about LJ and which newcomer would benefit

I also go by Trey IRL, and was in Sq. 3 in the Corps, so I'm pumped for stupid reasons

and the two we cut loose didn't
DT Kerrick Huggins - Trinity Valley CC
WR Derrick Griffin - prep school
This is one of the biggest differences in Sumlin's high ranked class. We've had some good rankings and it has been pointed out to me that Fran's class after his second year at A&M was also top 10 (2005 class) and look how that turned out. But that class had multiple players that never made it to campus and so that ranking was grossly overstated.
I also had an OU dipshit tell me that their class had a higher avg star rating. It didn't (we were 3.45 vs 3.17 on Rivals and 89.16 vs 87.54 on 247) but I didn't know that while we were talking. But they only had 7 4* players one of which was Huggins. They don't re-rank classes after admission and it's one way we've always been overranked. Not anymore as we don't appear to be taking those sort of risks mostly because we don't need to do so.

This is one of the things that makes Mack Brown seem worse than you probably even thought at closer inspection. UT's classes have had very low attrition. If you take the original rankings and follow them out year-by-year, adjusting them for who makes it and then who stays on campus by removing the ones that never qualify or flake-out later, the Horns have, and have had for a few years, more talent actually on campus than anyone.
