I hate to break the news, but Springfield is the motherland. More truth to that than you know.

Springfield obliterated Columbia in the hottie department on the Hooters bikini pageant that was on the Speed Channel tonight.

Or I mean, so I'm told, by people who watch that sort of thing, you know. Just knowledge I gained secondhand in my quest to stay current on world events. And fap to them.

How awesome would the campus be if it actually were in the ozarks?

Would be fun. Austin, TX did it right, rolled the university, the state capitol and its "party lake" - Lake Travis - into one metro area. CoMo/Jeff City/Lake of the Ozarks combined would be something.

A more plausible thought though in terms of something that nearly happened - my understanding of Mizzou history from what I read somewhere, if I'm wrong somebody correct me - was that amongst the towns vying to be home to what would become the University of Missouri, two of the main finalists were CoMo and Rocheport. Think for a second about having the columns and Jesse Hall rising from that high bluff along the Missouri River, that being the first thing you see way up high when you drive in from the west on I-70 and cross the river, coulda been really badass. Actually instead of columns we could have just put a big giant middle finger up on the bluff for any kansans who happened to be driving in from the west.

Rocheport would've been awesome. But Mizzou on Table Rock Lake would have been the tits!

Imagine docking your boat at your dormatory or frat!

That would've been nothing but awesome. Would've been the best campus in the SEC, period.
