Now, I'm not putting Vincent Smith on the same level as Bill Bates (because of the surrounding circumstances of it being Herschel's first play....of his first game.....framed by a famous call by a legend........on a team that went on to win the MNC).....
...But............... it's kind of an elite club........these players from opposing teams that become famous in another school's history for the wrong reasons....
Can y'all think of any others?

Not a player.....but how about Gary Tyrell?
He was that trombone player that got lit up in what Stanford and Cal call "The Play".

That's actually brain matter coming out of Smith's head, not dreads.
So Clowney wins

Was an epic hit, for sure.
But, it's not the same.......... The stars didn't align in the magical way that they did for poor Bill Bates that night in Knoxville for Herschel's debut.
Sorry.

How about Clemson's Charlie Bauman for Ohio State?
Their psychotic piece of shite coach got fired for punching him during the Gator Bowl.....

Hey Christopher....
Do you want to explain to the board why Georgia Tech's Reggie Ball (aka 5th Down Reggie) is famous in UGA history, or do you want me to do it?

That's a good one. Nobody would've known he existed, outside of family and friends, had that not happened.

WTF are you talking about? The circumstances surrounding the Clowney hit puts that miles ahead. Coming after the horribly blown first down call and him picking up the ball in one move makes the whole play transcendent. The hit was just eye catcher.
If you want to compare Herschel's run to something Carolina related... why not Latimore running through Rambo two years ago? Would be more apropos.

Sorry for wasting everyone's time........ I realize now that I should have never compared Herschel's run to something Carolina-related..........

You can post whatever you like... I was just pointing out that apples to apples arguments would be more fitting.

Sorry... forgot who I was speaking with (changing your flair doesn't increase your intellect, shame). I'll use smaller words and dumb it down to make your life easier.

Watched that live. Couldn't believe it.
Some USC fans may remember Arian Foster for fumbling into the endzone. Pretty sure he did the same thing against Bama the week before we played as well

David Pollack - Corey Jenkins is what I would say if I were a Dawg fan.
