Honestly, the show's producers lost sight of the fact that they were putting together a fricking ZOMBIE show. At times during season 3 you almost forget entirely that they are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Its a bunch of in-fighting and warring between neighboring groups of people with a bunch of casual ho-hum zombie kills through in for effect.

Well, they were trying to play off of the human element of it. Who's the bigger threat? Mindless zombies or living people with functioning brains?

The show isn't about zombies. It's about how people react to a crisis.
