DG is a stud and the U will be getting one of the best. That being said, I pay for info, and he was a no go at a&m. We worked really hard with him, but it just wasn't going to work. It is also based on the SEC rules as well. Risk was too great.

Our basketball team could have really used him. It would have been huge had he qualified.

It has been over a month since he graduated from high school and he still isn't in Miami. I wouldn't be counting on it if I were a Canes fan. I really like the kid and wish him the best.

Yeah I assume it to be more SEC vs. ACC requirements thing going on here.

Goes back to when Dexter Pratt ended up at Okie Lite, and Phil Loadholt ended up at OU simply because the Big 12 had lower academic requirements. At least A&M was plentiful at the WR position whereas Griffin could be a big impact on Miami day 1. Miami even throws the ball around quite a bit, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him make an impact IF he ends up qualified. Here's to hoping he does just to see what a talent he is.
