Honestly, I was pretty pissed. I thought we should have offered Kirby Smart or Mike Leach (praise God we didnt). I thought Freeze was the worst possible hire out of the 5 coaches that were being speculated. It's obviously worked out but were you pissed when it first came out or were you confident right from the start?

You were honestly excited about a coach from Arkansas State? You must have known something I didn't

I was. Like I said in the other topic, once Nutt lost that last game to Vandy (where he wore that ridiculous cap), my dad turned and asked "So, who's next?" I said Hugh Freeze, although it was kind of in jest.

Of course I didn't know Hugh would win 10 games that year and actually be a serious candidate. I was excited though because I had been told by every player who played under O and Nutt and that Freeze was their favorite coach from either staff. I also knew his love for Ole Miss, and it was just a natural fit.

Didn't know he was as good at the X's and O's as he was last year though.

I was pretty upset myself. Lasted all of 30 minutes until I heard his opening press conference in person. JIMP like a boss

Nutt's speech fired me up too but look how that turned out. It took more for me than that

Dude it has been stated multiple times ... I played for the guy at Briarcrest.

I already knew what we were going to get with him.

My initial reaction was indifference. The whole time I wanted leach. But when it came out we hired freeze I wasn't really mad, I just knew anything would be better than Nutt.

I equate my feeling to y'alls reactions and these type of threads to the people that read the Song of Ice & Fire(Game of Thrones) Books and those of us that only watched the show.

I like them just get to sit back and watch those(your) reactions to learning these things for the first time ... it's priceless.
