That player density chart is one of the worst abuses of statistics I have ever seen!

Listiing of Number of NFL Players By State Where They Played HS Ball

California 268
Texas (one SEC school) 235
Florida (one SEC school) 222
Georgia (one SEC school) 113
Ohic 101
Louisiana(one SEC school) 75
skipping on down
Alabama (two SEC schools) 55

Texas, Florida and Georgoa are all staes where the population is growing. LONG TERM this will be the power centers for the SEC.

Check with Centre College if you don't think the world of football will change!

HTown alone, let alone all of Tejas, is an obscene NFL producer. Hasn't Houston been the biggest output town for many years now?

But, to think Texas ATM will just dominate consistently, when still having UT, other Texas schools, OU, LSU, Bama,etc..in there too..

I see even a possible longterm swing from UT to ATM, but that still doesn't mean that ATM will crush the field, get them all, and cash natty hardware(re: UGA in Ga)

I see ATM doing very well, and foresee great things for them, but slow that 3rd place roll, and from the contagious 7-on-7 spread drill/camp ball state..that mentality can at times be a disease filtering on down! Hallelujah SEC Expansion to ATM's rescue!

Last time an ATM team played consistent championship grade D, a Louisianan was the HC, and had some west La players on his roster.

Texas A&M only recruits against in-state SEC schools? Impressive... I'm sure Texas and TCU never sign top athletes.

Alabama has, and will continue, to recruit nationally. Yes, it makes life easier on a Texas A&M coach because he can get most of his talent in-state, but an Alabama coach who goes out and works hard is, apparently, going to out recruit an A&M coach.

In the last since 2011, Alabama's rankings have been (247 sports):
2011 - #2 (Texas A&M - #31)
2012 - #1 (Texas A&M - #14)
2013 - #1 (Texas A&M - #8)

A&M only beat Texas once, following what was the worst showing by Texas in ages, and by signing 32 kids. Those kids might be playing high school ball in Texas, but apparently they're not playing college ball in Texas. By your logic, Texas and Texas A&M should've been the two top teams for years upon years, as they were the only two "power conference" teams in Texas, while the one state that had more, California, has 4.
