Well to be fair, crawdads is what I called them growing up in the hills of western Arkansas.
If I am going to EAT them, I call them crawfish.
They didn't really come in eating size or quantity where I'm from.

Where exactly in western Arkansas? I spent many summers with my family along Hwy. 71 between Texarkana and Mena.
