Alabama won their bowl game in 1941. LSU didn't and LSU got shut out in a championship game that their school agreed to the rules. Different era; different rules.

And Alabama was voted national champions 28 times, though they don't count them all. Should I list them?

Baseball is more popular in the SEC than basketball.
Good day.

At least the 1941 team won their bowl game.
And lost to State.
...and Vandy.
And finished ranked 20th in the AP.
...and 3rd in the SEC.
At least 2011 LSU actually beat Alabama.
...and WON the SEC.
Yeah, pretty much LSU has a better claim to 2011 than Alabama does to 1941.

if you think baseball is a bigger sport than basketball you are kidding yourself
College baseball is the greatest amateur sport there is.
Olympic athletes get money endorsements and college football and basketball players get paid under the table.
College Baseball players don't get endorsements or paid under the table.
ERGO, LSU baseball is the Pinnacle of amateur atheltics

Damn you are really concerned about 1941

What are these "rules" to which you refer? The ones you make up as you go along?
Do you mean to tell me that LSU can't accept a award from an organization besides the BCS for the college football national championship?
Did Alabama accept the AP award for the 2011 season? Wouldn't that be against those same rules?
Do you really think that Alabama's 1941 Houlgate claim is outside of the AP era from 1936 - present?

No one gives a shite about 1941

Me? I'm not the one claiming it for my school.
I just think it's funny that the same organization that awarded it to Bama for 1941, gave LSU the award for 2011. You don't find that funny in the least?
...and then watching as Gumps try to defend 1941, while at the same time tearing down the 2011 Houlgate?
I think it's a scream.

We'll trade it out for 1966, which we don't claim and totally should.

College baseball is a regional sport. There is no 3 main sports in college, just 2.

because nobody wants a college baseball player to endorse them?
Tell me, is there one college baseball player in the country that is known by non-sports fans?

The SEC easily cares more about basketball than baseball. How is this even debatable?
I care more about UA basketball than football, but I don't give a shite about the NBA. I don't care about baseball at any level.

Except the guy that started this by claiming it in the 15.
Besides, if no one gave a shite about it, then why does the Alabama AD office give such a shite about it? Are they no one?
Face it, that 1941 claim is like a big herpes scab on the prom queen's mouth. Y'all should try to cover that shite up.

We've been through this before. The Houlgate is no longer recognized as a major selector and hasn't been since 57. See pages 70 and 74 of the NCAA FBS Records Book.
