seems if that was the point, then someone would introduce a proposal to outlaw FCS games like the B1G just did

I agree though and wish that had been the proposal rather than the 9 game slate. I hate those games.

FWIW, I don't hate the FCS games because I follow recruiting. And those games are a great opportunity to see what we've got with the new recruits.

But I still stand by my statement that I don't understand why teams focus on that 12th worse game when the top 6 or top 8 games are the only ones that matter (hopefully one or two of those 8 games are OOC).

I do too. I live almost 4 hours from Tuscaloosa and never go to those games, an I usually can't even give the tickets away.

The B1G elimination of FCS games won't be phased in for a couple of years though, and they also are looking at a nine (and maybe even ten) game conference schedule.
