It does improve SOS. The computers prove that.

No it doesn't. All it does is continue more of the same. the 9th game adds 1 team from the other division. But it could as easily be the worst team from the other division as it could be the best team from the other division. there are cupcakes in the SEC, too (ie. Auburn 2012).

It does improve TV, because Alabama will see UGA, USCe, UF more (and vice versa).

It takes 14 SEC OOC games and turns it into 7 conference games. You actually eliminated 7 games from the TV in an instant.
And as mentioned above, the quality is marginal (ie. more of the same). For every Bama vs UGA, you are adding an extra Bama vs. Vandy or Miss St versus Vandy for that matter).
Additionally, you are encouraging more rematches in the SECCG. And the TV ratings are about half in rematches versus 1st time matchups in the SECCG (which is the only 9th conference game that matters).

It would remove one cupcake from the schedule. The model would be one good game and two cupcakes/lower tier BCS teams (unless your coach is a pansy)

No, it doesn't. The 9th conference game is taking away a home game from each school. That is going to require the ADs to focus on scheduling more home games (without return trips). And that means adding teams to the schedule that aren't good enough to require a return visit. Ie. you are encouraging more cupcakes and eliminating games like UGA v Clemson, UF v Miami, and South Carolina v UNC.

but it is coming.

Only if the SEC expands. And there is a chance that expansion does happen.

Read this and let it sink in.
There's a lot of "truth" that the proponents of 9 games forget to mention (and why should the B1G? They aren't smart enough to figure this stuff out on their own)?
