What are your thoughts about Hendrickson at SLU? If and when TJ is done, would you consider him for the job? Would he consider MU? I would have to think he would, given the increased resources and the opportunity to coach in the best conference in the nation.

He seems to have won at every stop he's been at. He apparently has 3 kids on his roster from Florida, so he has some at least minimal inroads into the south already. He's got to be in his early 40's.

Any thoughts?

I haven't paid enough attention, but he's obviously going a good job there. And I'd think he'd jump at the chance to be at a place like Mizzou, with the resources, and emphasis on the sport.

Another guy I would have liked to see considered is Mark Hogan from Southeast Missouri state. He did amazing things with few resources there. He "retired" last year, but isn't that old - he just had enough years that he could do it, and there were some political things locally, I heard. The team there plays in a city owned stadium, and there were some issues.

I think there is always a chance, if the money is right. But I think that future plans for the sport at Mizzou would be critical as in how serious is Mizzou about it's baseball program? Serious enough to upgrade the stadium? I never put much thought into such ideas until I started following the recruiting trail. Now I see just how serious arenas, stadiums and ballparks are to attracting recruits and I think as well as coaches. It's proof that the university is serious about it's athletic programs. JMO

Very true, Jafo. We were ok in the bevo 12-2-1+1-1+1. In the SEC, we're behind in the arms race and have work to do.

Ever? I'm not suggesting for next year, but if TJ continues at this years pace for the remainder of his contract(which I think is 1 or 2 more years), do you think he'll still be around?

I believe his contract is through 2015 season. So 2 more years.

If he doesn't win at least 25 games next year he needs to be cut loose IMO. He should have won that many this year.

I do like the idea of looking at Hendrickson when the time comes. I really don't think we absolutely need someone with ties to the southeast. Missouri produces a lot of good baseball talent year in and year out so getting a coach who knows our in-state baseball programs would be very helpful. I would guess Hendrickson knows a little something about Missouri high school baseball. It wouldn't hurt to find some assistants with southeast ties though.
