So, what's the best method?.......

1) Just quit shaving until you have a full beard.....and then carve away the non-goatee components of the beard? Or....

2) Start with a clean shave, and then keep shaving away the non-goatee components and let the goatee slowly grow towards full bloom on its own?

I'm guessing probably #2. Because, if you made a mistake early on, and hacked into the goatee part, you would have more time to recover.

Please share the secret of your craft. Thanks in advance.

The salt life decals come with a special preservative inside of it that stimulates hair growth in the chin and upper lip region.

And then you can slap it on the back of your truck boat truck.

I've been wondering.......

Does the location of The Salt Life sticker on the truck window (left, right, or center) have any hidden meaning within your cult?

Either way, I've been noticing some interesting parallels surrounding the location of the decal.

I may be on to something here................

Definitely #2. Mark Richt perfected this form in the example below.

How ironic is it that the leader of "Goatee Nation" himself...........can't even grow facial hair?

What's up with that btw?

Maybe this condition is what makes him so driven. Maybe he was frustrated and embarassed early in life by his inability to grow pubes or a beard and it motivated him to prove himself through athletics.

Textbook "Late-bloomer-Syndrome" scenario here. I think Ralph Machio suffered the same thing. He was like 40 years old when they filmed Karate Kid..........

Mike BoBo or Bulworth?

I found his inspiration though. It was that 90's film with Warren Beatty and Haile Berry, you know, the real liberal one about change, Bulworth.

Steve Spurrier and Ralph Macchio, both pictured below on their 60th birthdays..................

I wonder if when they blew out their candles.....if they both wished for the ability to grow facial hair some day.......................

Did Richt shave his goatee b/c it was too thin? Like those 16 year olds who grow the mustaches?

You don't need a mustache to do this though.

Seriously.... Ralph Macchio was something like 42 years old when he played 16 year old Danial LaRusso in Karate Kid. Look it up. He and Spurrier have the same hairless unable-to-age medical condition...

Sidenote: This is fricked up man. When I was still in Athens I got a VHS tape in the mail one day. And.....it was the pilot episode for a TV series that hadn't aired yet, and they sent copies out randomly I guess to get feedback from people...........

Anyway.....it starred Ralph Macchio and Andrew Dice Clay!!! But I only got to watch 5 minutes because I answered the phone and left the VHS tape running..........and when I tried to rewind it, I found out they had rigged the tape to erase as you played it, so I don't know if it was any good or not.

All I remember is Dice Clay in his boxers smoking cigarettes and ironing his wife-beater Ts in Macchios living room. I think Dice lived in the basement.

Not sure if the show ever aired.

I think the real story here is that everyone assumes the Karate Kid was about Daniel san, when the real Karate Kid was Johnny Lawrence.

When there wasn't some drunk maintenance guy or referee watching out for Daniel, Johnny whooped his arse.

Yea, the Cobra Kai were heroes in my book......

Some Jersey gueedo migrates down to your neighborhood and you're suppose to just try and be his best friend and ignore what a repulsive mannerless yankee he is?

Hell no. Johnny Lawrence did what was right.

Typical unrealistic hollywood garbage.....

Alright. Back to goatees........

I'm impressed by how easily y'all are able to laugh at your own cult. It's refreshing....

And just think...... In ten years when the goatee/salt-life thing is as attached to USCe like the corndog thing is attached to LSU.....you'll be able to say you were there when it all started!

Exciting Times!!!

****NOTE: Cracker/Peter Buck deserves credit for pioneering the goatee part of this....and you frickers wont even let him on your board? Thats shameful right there......

Reality [On] Off

The goatee/saltlife thing is funny, but will never be attached to USC, b/c it isn't even remotely true. Salt Life is an apparel company that isn't even based out of SC or by an USC grad or anything like that. Like I said in my trip to GA thread on dawgrant, I saw 4 Salt Life car stickers just this past weekend with GA tags. The goatee thing is too obtuse. All teams have fans with goatees. Mark Richt even sported one last year along with Bobo.

In order for it to be funny, it has to be more focused. Send Cracker back to the dock with a 6 pack of Palmetto Amber to work that one out.

Reality On [Off]

The Salt Life migh be connected with SC's rich, massive coastline and great fishing and water sport activities. The same type of life style that is associated with a luxurious and/or relaxing state of mind. The only haters of the Salt Life are the poors. Although even some of the haters can't resist the draw of the Salt.

Dawg Life, bro?

Thats what USCe people will say in the future too!

Holy shite.

And then one of them will say..."Hey bo. Where'd that shite even get started anyway?"......

Accept reality, bo. You're cult has been exposed, and we're just getting started..........

Or Dog Life. Remember, there's two spellings to choose from.

I already exploded this myth in another thread.......

Anyways, it's interesting that y'all bring this up. I translate this tactic as follows........

"But, but, look! Y'all do it too!" Even though we dont......

It's like a confession if you think about it.

Bottom-line: 85 -90% of all Salt Life merchandise sold in the united states is in South Carolina.

Now why would they offer two spelling? Time to speculate....

I may or may not have spoken with this guy who's in the know with the Salt Life apparel campaign. He may or may not have suggested that there are 2 types of UGA fans, those that get all caught up in grammar and spelling and those who can't read well enough to tell in the first place. So what this does is open up them to BOTH markets.
