Well #1 we aren't refusing to play anyone. We just want to see you play a more challenging conference schedule like we do.
#2 I don't think anybody really knew the implications of the scheduling system back in 1992, when it was 2 permanents not one. It was changed in 2000-01 for competitive balance reasons and since then the official position of LSU has been that we oppose permanent opponents. The ridiculous bridge schedules have brought additional attention.

Draconian Sanctions, so LSU signed off on playing UF two separate times, and didn't decide to bitch about it until the bridge shite came about.
