we had a nice rotational schedule until last season. It's the 2012 and 2013 'bridge' schedules that people are mainly bitching about. Has nothing to do with Bama's current run.
When the SEC schedules were rotational, it was fair, because everything is cyclical. But the schedules for last year and this upcoming season are full of bull shite from Bama alumns.

Good thing for LSU football, Les cares even when his fans shite all over him and want him run out on a rail. Miles is a high character guy without a doubt.
He has selective hearing brah. Takes on what makes since, blocks out negatives toward himself.

And we could give 2 shits about it...do what's best for the conference.
Bama has benefitted from the bridge schedule amongst so many other things. UT being good or not doesn't have anything to do with it (at least from my perspective).

What's the difference in UT having to play Fla & UGA AND having to play Bama?
LSU has UF and UGA (had SC last year)
The bridge schedule benefit went to Bama and that's what I have a problem with.
It's not the first instance that Bama gets favoritism.

Its in the best interest of the entire SEC to have balanced schedules. The cross division schedule needs to be addressed. If its not everyone will be negatively affected at some point. Many things are changing in the SEC. The schedule is just one more victim of progress.

I'll give you the bridge schedule argument, but neither of us know the details of how and why it worked out that way.
What's all this other favoritism you speak of. Please don't give me the Fla. Tenn. thing.

But that's another thread for another time.

All that I'm concerned with at this time.
Make scheduling fair and get with progress. Sometimes change is a good thing.

Sorry, can someone help me with another permanent cross-divisional game that produces another top-10 matchup. No more? Who Knew?
What about UGA-Auburn in 2010? Or USCe-Arky when Arky had Petrino in 2010? I don't know off the top of my head whether both were Top 10 teams when they played, but all of those teams were Top Ten at one point or another that year.
Who's to say that UF and LSU are going to be in the Top Ten in 2013 when they play?

It was designed to put the best 2 teams in the country in the game and it worked like it was supposed to=no favoritism.

Central location=no favoritism. Unless you wear a tinfoil hat.

Again tinfoil hat, because we've had unfavorable shite happen to us too.
All that I'm concerned with at this time.

BAMA and Tenn, nor UGA and the barn are gonna give up those rivalries. I don't think.

Are schedules every going to be "fair"?
Posted on 5/22/13 at 3:43 pm to BIG DADDY 73
Bama used to get an extra conference game against Vandy so they would win the conference outright instead of tie or claim a tie instead of finish 2nd.
Posted on 5/22/13 at 3:43 pm to Patton
That is an excellent question

i think the amount of whining by other SEC fans over LSU on this topic has eclipsed the initial perceived amount of whining by LSU fans on this topic

Ok.
Back to the thread. How do you get completely "fair" schedules for every team in the conference?

FACT: Over the past 13 seasons, LSU has played Florida and Georgia in 17 non-divisional games, while Alabama has played Florida and Georgia in only 8 non-divisional games.
Now you can appreciate why the Bama fans don't want to hear any complaining.
They like the way things are, and they want to keep them that way.

I know right? Bama needs to stop being pussies and play somebody. Stop whining about bush league rivalries with the scrubs of the SEC.

No permanent opponents and a regular rotation.
