My biased reasons why I think LSU will finish ahead of A&M in the standings:
- LSU's offense will be it's most productive in since 2006 under a competent OC with experienced pieces to work with.
- LSU's defense will not fair as badly as many of the 'experts' anticipate because despite losing many players to the NFL draft, there is still quite a bit of experience returning and a lot of talent on the roster. And players (especially on the DLine) have a habit of stepping up each year.
- LSU's team chemistry will be better. Not every player LSU lost to the NFL should be counted as a net negative.
- Neither A&Ms players, nor Sumlin have dealt with the magnitude of spotlight they will get this season. Not saying they can't, just saying they haven't.
- We get A&M and Florida at home.
Like I said, it's certainly biased and optimistic.
