They wouldn't have had to choose what year they were banned if they hadn't cheated therefor Tressel would still be there.

It's like you people have no idea what happened with OSU
OSU didn't "choose" to take a bowl ban at all. They were told, apparently by someone in the know, that NO bowl ban would occur so they went to the Gator Bowl...and then the bowl ban occured
