I just don't see Ark hosting over us.

This must have been before our victory over Oral Roberts. We are good to host now.

They also have USCe hosting. We can change that this weekend.

So what exactly gives South Carolins SO much more of an edge than us?

We have pretty much idenical records, we have fewer bad looses but 3 more SEC losses due to us playing 3 against Vandy and not having Tenn, UGA, and Mizzou. (whom USC went 8-1 against)

Honestly, it seems like we aren't expected to win the series. I mean, we haven't won a series against a really good team all year, so I can see why that would be the expectation. If we do come away with a series win, we might get some love. And yes, their recent success is also a factor.

And if we don't end up hosting, this would be a great draw, IMO.

Not for those of us who actually like to travel to see us play. I was able to drive to Atlanta (GA Tech Regional) then to Gainesville for the super regional in 2011, and to Tallahassee last year.

I couldn't give a frick if they sent us to The Anchorage regional if that's the one we have the best shot at winning. I would rather go to the easiest, than the most convenient for our fans.

Louisville would barely be a longer drive than Gainesville from Hattiesburg. It would definitely be a pain in the arse drive though.
