Give your easy-arse schedule in 2012 to TAM last year, and the Aggies go instead of Bama the SEC C.G.
TAM just got a small dose of what LSU has to swallow every year, and TAM lost a chance a an SEC Championship because Bama gets Tennessee each and every year.
The permanent cross-divisional opponent rule is blatantly unfair, and the SEC needs to have its nose rubbed in it every time the LSU faction gets a chance to raise the subject.
Alabama had Tennessee locked in back in 1992, when the divisions were created.
Going back to 1989, from the stretch of 89 - 2007, Tennessee had an overall record of 181-54, with 10 Ten-Win seasons. They ranked #5 in the country in winning % over that stretch.
Winning Percentage
Going from the actual separation of divisions in 1992, Tennessee was 152-48 with 9 Ten-Win seasons. They are still #5 in Winning % in the country during that stretch as well.
Still #5
Of course, Tennessee goes into a nose dive in 2008, the first year Alabama gets into what people now consider the dynasty. Basically Tennessee sucks when we get good, and thanks to the psychic division at SEC HQ who saw this coming back in 1992, we're prepped for some historic runs!
Oh, and if Alabama and A&M had swapped schedules?
We wouldn't have had to play LSU BEFORE A&M, and would've gone undefeated.

Since the beginning of SEC divisions in 1992, Florida has won 10 SEC East titles and Tennessee has won 5.
Furthermore, Florida has won 7 SEC Championships and Tennessee has won 2. So much for Tennesse being the big bad wolf.
But the 90's are ancient history anyway. Who gives a shite.
Just had to stop some of the B.S. flowing from the Gump's side.

So, you (skrayper) are going on record and proclaiming the REASON bama LOST to A&M is because the tide had to PLAY LSU the week before.
PRICELESS just PRICELESS
Also if bama and A&M swap schedules that means the tide plays ELEVEN WEEKS straight. No byes. That would have been the third straight road trip and five out od six weeks.
