He's only a sophomore dude
plus when's the last time we've had defensive depth like that? I don't remember us ever being that deep. The real worry is snoop at third string because that might signal him not making it.

If Korvic Neat is our second string running back then we must not have any type of depth at RB

I wouldn't read into "too" much. Yea he's got a tough slate but its not like his chances have lessened since January. We won't know our chances with him until the start of August intercession.

Carlos Davis jumping Standifer is hard to read. I think it's a statement to Carlos' potential but a kid who just started playing CB this spring shouldn't be able to completely jump someone with as much counted on them as Standifer.
Assuming Snoop playing this fall is a little optimistic but still realistic. The chances he will be back next year is beyond a long shot. Snoop isn't taking classes aimed at a major. He's taking classes aimed at getting to good standing academically. To be able to play your senior year, you have to have a certain number of hours towards your major completed. He's working on gpa, not needed classes to graduate. Also the tease of the NFL will factor in. I think if he plays this fall he is at worse a 4th round guy in next years draft. As I said earlier the chance of him being academically eligible for '14 are even more daunting than they are for him to play in '13. Meaning he will have to take full loads for 4 more academic semesters including summer school to be able to play in '14. I wouldn't be shocked if snoop said frick that shite and went to the NFL.
All of that was to show our lack of corner depth for '14 if we don't have Sawyer and Snoop. Standifer was the likely candidate to start across Senquez in '14 and now it seems it will be Carlos. Just like in the spring, if someone is doing really well, you can't tell if its them being good or the other guy sucking.
Our CB recruitment in this class and our development of both Standifer and Carlos are both huge for our future because we don't have many weaknesses in '14

I see two Defensive line rotations with almost no drop off in talent

I agree, 14' will be the first season (assuming Juniors like Bo and Montcrief return)that Freeze will have real pressure on him to win some big games.

'14 will setup a lot like '09. We return a lot and will be one of the few programs in the west returning their QB, perhaps the only school besides Arkansas. One big difference is we have Tunsil stepping in for McCray instead of Sowell stepping in for Oher.

1. LOL at the TEs
2. I thought Mathers would overtake Jeff Scott
3. Conyers sounds like a OG.
4. Not sure if Hamilton being even with Gross is indicative of great improvement in Hamilton or Gross really struggling with his injury.
5. Was hoping Hooks would come in and dominate from the get-go.
6. Love Hilton at the huskie, kid goes all out every play.
7. Standifer
8. Korvic Neat better not field a single punt this year or we're in trouble.

If Scott goes down and we march Neat out there to field a punt, I will set myself on fire in protest.
