We have only won three series in conference. This includes losing 2/3 to Auburn and aTm, who are in the lower half of the west. Over the past three seasons we have been mediocre in the SEC. Is it time to move on?

He's not gone.

I don't see our baseball program improving any more while he's here.

There have been a lot of bad coaching calls this season which have contributed to our loses. He definitely needs to go. I don't know who we hire but we have been slipping further each year.

I don't see the big deal about this guy. He went to Omaha his first year at Louisville with talent that wasn't his and he hasn't done much since.

This is a reoccurring theme. Outside of the Evan Button year, we have been mediocre, at best, since 2008.

I agree with you. I'm not sold on him. We need to go all "Fast and Furious" and hire Brian O'connor or a solid mid major coach like Mark Scalf (UNC Wilmington)

Brian O'connor

His name is always brought up every time someone mentions firing Bianco, but has he ever shown any indication that he would leave UVA?

I don't know. Worst thing we could do is offer him Bianco-money and make him tell us no.

Dan McDonnel would be a good hire.

I would also look at:

Tracy Smith - Indiana
Bobby Pierce - Troy
Mark Calvi - South Alabama
Elliott Avent - NC State

I honestly think we could get Rick Vanderhook (Cal State Fullerton)

True, I was just wondering if he had ever seriously considered any other job openings since being at Virginia.

You gotta think we are a whole lot more appealing than Fullerton.

He needs to go. He is over coaching because he knows the end is near. It's making it worse. We need fresh thoughts if nothing else. He's not a bad coach but he has had more than a chance to make it to Omaha. If we don't get hot late and make at least a super I don't see how Bjork can make a case to retain him.

What is his salary compared to the rest of the conference?

I would think in the 3-6 range.
