USFL...originally...he was in the NFL supplemental draft in '85 after the collapse of the USFL...

Look at that supplemental draft list... First four players...Steve Young, Mike Rozier, Gary Zimmerman and Reggie White...all 4 Pro-Bowlers...3 of the 4 Super Bowl Champions and in HOF...
