Perkins and Griffin were both out, so we got a good look at all of the other backs.

Josh Robinson - Did exactly what you would expect. I think he should be the starting back. He is a load to get on the ground. The number of plays where his progress is stopped, but he is still standing is pretty amazing.

Derrick Milton - Will be a very good back before he leaves. He runs hard, has good speed, and doesn't mind making contact.

Brandon Holloway - In the first half, they used him on sweeps and swing passes. In other words, a lot of plays we have run with Chad and Jameon in the past that didn't work very well. (I guess we think it is the player and not the play that doesn't work.) In the second half, when he lined up in the backfield, he did a great job of hitting holes and running for daylight when it was there. His yards in the 2nd half were against subs, but it was still pretty impressive. As a running back, he reminded me of Dexter McCluster. I think he is a great change of pace player from Robinson.

I think we will be much better at running back this year than we were last year.

I look forward to seeing Perkins steal carries away from better running backs.

I want a healthy, confident Griffin.

Milton is more productive than he looks. Like you said, he's a damn good prototypical running back. Not too flashy or bulky but not small or slow either. Standard, "video game" Running back apperance. Other than that brain fart he had against LSU last year his ball control is good also. He is an instinctive runner, and doesn't dance around. Support

Josh Robinson

HE IS A LOAD. I agree on him being the starter in SEC games. At least sharing snaps. An oak tree QB and a slot style running back are just asking for trouble from the DEs. Robinson gives you this "big boy" threat / safety measure back there. Robinson could compliment Russel similar to Relf / Perkins in this area. Dunno if that makes sense.

Brandon Holloway is laterally faster than anyone in the slot. He's a high revving engine with low gears, so to speak. His top end isn't elite, the secondary stayed with him (or maybe they're smoking fast too?) but he's extra greasy. Definately had a coming out party Staurday.

If he doesn't muff punts like Lewis I say make him a returner..

Saw Robinson at the baseball game and that guy is freaking jacked. I would not want to have to try and tackle him for anything
