Anyone have it? I'm changing over to them this week. Getting every channel they offer and internet for $135 I've been paying over $200 for charter and they frickin blow goat arse. So who has it and how do you like it?

I don't have it but I know several people who do and they love it.

I switched from DirectTV to U-verse and I really like it. I know some folks that love it and others that hate it, but it's better than Time-Warner, Direct, or Dish here in Columbia.

Hey Crispy, I'm in the same boat, time warner gave us the cable, phone and internet pkg for like $200. I could give a rats about the phone. Cell plan is unlimited. I'm going to try out uverse.

The big knock on u verse I've heard is after a little while when your deal runs out is when they go in dry. All the dudes I knew that bragged about the amazing net speed are all
now

I have the internet, but not the TV package. Never had a problem. However they do penalize you for using The Pirate Bay too many times.

I've got a friend who works for them so I got a $250 visa gift card to switch as well as a $50 credit to my cellphone bill. My contract is for a year, but I will just give him a call when it comes up next year. Also I'm not due for an upgrade yet on my plan but he's gonna hook me up with a S4 when they come out. If anyone wants a S2 let me know, for an extra $50 I won't delete my pix and videos

I have it and it is absolutely awesome. Blows charter out of the water. A few highlights
-We get channels out the arse. Like over 1,000 in HD. Every sports, movie, music, whatever channel you can think of we get it.
-Their installer put a box in every bedroom
-Speaking of that, the TV in my bedroom is an HD ready TV that I bought a few years ago, but I just had a regular hookup on it. After the dude installed the Uverse box in my room he put HD cables with it, so now I have HD in my room. That's not like some awe inspiring feature, but it was nice and I appreciated it
-We have a ton more DVR space
-We can now record more shows at once than we could
-Internet is fast
-It's CHEAPER

What about on demand? Do they have it? Is there anything I will be losing from charter as far as channels go?

Yes.

Yeah, CSS which is really the only negative I can think of since a lot of UGA stuff is on there. But there are somewhere around 200 sports channels. Like we even get shite like the longhorn network, the big 10 network, Sun sports, etc.

Nfl network? No CSS is gonna blow but I can make it work. I usually record the games because I have a tendency to not remember second half of a lot of them.
I'm getting a wireless box, not sure what the benefits of that is besides obviously not having wires.

I have Uverse. It's around 135 per month which is about what we paid with Comcast. We get more channels than we did with Comcast, though. Internet speed that we chose is not good for watching games on ESPN 3. I think I have the third slowest speed option ( 9 megabytes per second?) and all the players look like gelatinous globs. So if that's important to you, go with the 12 meg speed.

Not sure what it means but he said he was giving me 18 megabytes for a 12or15 meg price. Wtf does that even mean? Is it purely speed of internet or does it involve my cable?
Posted on 4/21/13 at 9:02 pm to Spunky
I would think that means downloading speeds for Internet, but lets wait for one of the Nerds to weigh in because I'm not 100% sure.

I don't download porn
Although there's a shite ton on there
