Devonta Pollard... what's the story on this kid?

5* player but averaged less than 4 PPG. Did he get hurt or just not live up to expectations as a freshman?

Not very good offensively, was a Freshman, Anthony Grant.

I wanted him bad and thought we had a chance once Jones came in and we got Robert Kirby.

Really athletic kid went to a small HS in Mississippi. Went to some AAU tourneys and blew up on athleticism and potential.

very raw on the offensive end, and verrrrry timid. Plenty of athletic ability but needs confidence and to figure out his game on the offensive end.
He could eventually be a very good college player, but maybe never a go to guy on offense. Runs the court well and can play good defense on man and off-ball. Even with limitations on offense, he can still be a guy that avg 15pts by getting offensive rebounds and some fast break points, if Bama ever decides to run.
No he was not hurt. He did look much more comfortable during the last few games.

Good X's and O's coach, disciplinarian, and in game coach. Mediocre recruiter, which could likely hurt him in the long run. He shies away from AAU kids and kids who he thinks don't work/play hard.
I think we are a .500 team this upcoming and year 3 should make the NIT.

Lacey is getting better, if he would just get that "I don't give a frick" mentality out of his head...he could be really good.
