If its just his meniscus, he should be running full speed by the middle of May. No worries.

That stinks - luckily he got 2 weeks of spring reps before it happened

Perhaps, if he rehabs correctly.

I tore my meniscus during the first game my senior year and got surgery a few days later. I missed two games and then came back. I felt great the first game but at the end of the game I could barely walk.

For the rest of the season I wouldn't be able to practice til Wednesday/Thursday and then it would feel just good enough to play on Friday, and after the game it would be ruined again until the next week.

It wasn't normal until around a year after the surgery.

Yeah that's why I said if he rehabs properly. My coaches were pressuring the doctor to sign off on me getting back out there as soon as possible, but that's what I wanted too though. I was probably going at 80% or so for the remainder of the year.

Well he will probably be running by mid may but that won't be game shape. I see no reason why it won be 100% by August unless something goes wrong.

I am a deeply disturbed individual. I read that as "he got 2 weeks of spring RAPES before it happened."

I think I may need to look into some couch time with a psychiatrist.
