Poor high school coaching......

I remember being out of high school for about two years and I was playing some pick-up ball, when the court suddenly slowed down and I realized, I get the game now, wish I would have gotten it earlier. It just seems like your in your own little world when you are younger and playing a sport. Atleast I was.
And I blame this all on poor coaching, Its your job to play the game as a kid, its the coaches job to make sure you understand it.
To all those decent basketball and baseball players out there that grew up in small towns that only cared about football. I feel ya brah, I feel ya. And to Coach Hworth, fuk you for only coaching high school basketball to get elected to the board of education. And fuk you Coach bangacheerleader for only coaching baseball so you could be the best choice for athletic director for the school. Thats my rant.

I quit the basketball team in 10th grade. I couldn't handle getting yelled at. I know now that it wasn't personal.

I play football, baseball, and basketball. I almost quit b ball for being yelled at. I am not that sensative but I cant stand being yelled at.

I get football coaches yelling, but not basketball and sometimes baseball. My baseball coaches were assholes for no reason sometimes.

My football coach is great. He yells when he needs to but he is usally pretty chill.
My basketball coach is a dick most the time.

I miss playing Basketball in high school :(

Yeah, they told me Basketball was a contact sport (which was ok) but Football was a collision sport ( which was not ok). This was back in the 80's so I was fricked either way.

Interesting point by the OP.
Helping coach an 8 year old baseball team now, and the coolest thing is seeing the kids develop an understanding of the game and actually knowing what to do.
